Preparation method:

1. First, cut the main ingredient into small pieces. However, avoid making them too small — just ensure that the lard fits comfortably in the jar.

2. Prepare the garlic. Peel the clove and slice it. Make small incisions in the lard and insert the garlic slices into them.

3. Next, rub the lard with salt and red hot pepper. You can also add grated garlic here.

4. Transfer the lard into jars, placing bay leaves at the bottom. The pieces should be packed tightly together.

5. Close the jars with nylon lids. Leave the jars at room temperature for three days. After that, move them to a cellar or place them in the refrigerator.
