The new special representative for Ukraine appointed by the elected U.S. President Donald Trump, Keith Kellogg, will visit Kyiv and several other European capitals in early January as part of efforts to end the war, reports IA "NewTimes.kz" citing BBC NEWS Russian service.
The 80-year-old retired lieutenant general, whose appointment as assistant to the president and special representative for Ukraine and Russia was announced by Trump at the end of November, does not plan to visit Moscow during his tour.
He is expected to hold talks with Ukrainian leaders in Kyiv, and his team is currently working on organizing meetings with other European leaders in Rome and Paris, according to sources from Reuters.
According to agency sources, the meetings will aim to "establish facts" rather than engage in active negotiations.
It is worth noting that it became known what Trump promised from the first day of his presidency.
