The raids are being conducted under the supervision of a special investigative group established to examine the events surrounding the state of emergency, reports IA "NewTimes.kz," citing "24KZ."
The group consists of 18 investigators. It is specified that the president was not present in the building during the searches.
Last week, Yoon Suk Yeol unexpectedly declared a state of emergency in the country. This decision by the president caused confusion both within the ruling party and the opposition. Consequently, the parliament voted unanimously to revoke it.

On December 7, the South Korean parliament voted on the issue of impeachment for the president. However, due to a boycott by members of the ruling party "People's Power," there were not enough votes to make a decision. This left Yoon Suk Yeol in his presidential position, but it heightened political tension in the country.
Kazakhstani citizens have been urged to refrain from participating in mass events in South Korea.
On December 4, Kazakhstan's Deputy Foreign Minister Alibek Bakayev commented on the situation regarding Kazakhstani citizens in South Korea and the measures being taken to protect their rights.
It should be noted that in June 2023, Yoon Suk Yeol made his first state visit to Kazakhstan, where he held talks with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in Astana. Tokayev described this visit as a historic event, emphasizing that the negotiations would significantly enhance Kazakh-Korean integration and elevate bilateral relations to a new level.
At that time, Tokayev highlighted that South Korea holds an important place in the global economy and technology, with its renowned corporations reinforcing the country’s status as a key global player. Kazakhstan and Korea have achieved a high level of cooperation, including political dialogue, economic partnership, and humanitarian ties.
