A woman from Pavlodar successfully recovered half a million tenge through the court after sending it to a scammer.

A woman filed a lawsuit for unjust enrichment in the local district court, claiming that she transferred 500,000 tenge to the defendant's account due to fraudulent deception, as reported by IA "NewTimes.kz".

According to the press service of the Pavlodar Regional Court, a civil case regarding the claim for the recovery of the unjust enrichment amount was examined. The woman approached the court seeking the return of funds that she had transferred to the defendant under the pretense of fraudsters. She had never known the defendant before and had no grounds for transferring money to him. In a written response, the defendant agreed with the claim.

The court initially attempted to reconcile the parties, but no agreement was reached. The court's decision granted the claim: the defendant was ordered to repay the amount of unjust enrichment to the claimant, along with the costs of the state duty and the expenses for the representative's assistance. The decision has not yet entered into legal force.
