According to the press service of the regional department of state revenues, the violation was detected by the agency's employees in collaboration with the border service of the National Security Committee.
"During the inspection of a vehicle of the brand 'MAZ 54323' at the automobile checkpoint 'Amangeldy' on the border with the Omsk region of the Russian Federation, it was established that an AN-2T aircraft was being transported. The weight of the aircraft was 3 tons 600 kg, with an estimated value of 1,800,000 Russian rubles. The plane was purchased by citizen M at an auction for personal use. At the time of crossing the border, citizen M did not have a certificate for the identification of specific goods. The specific item could be classified as intended for either civilian or military use," said Maksut Kantarbaev, head of the export control department of the State Revenue Committee.
Materials concerning citizen M, who transported the aircraft without the necessary permits, were submitted to the court for committing an administrative offense as stipulated in part 1 of Article 463 of the Code of Administrative Offenses.
By the ruling of the Irtysh District Court of Pavlodar Region, citizen M was found guilty and fined over 55,000 tenge.
