Astana. December 17. KAZAKHSTAN TODAY - The subsidiary of "Rosatom," "Uranium One Group," is selling shares in uranium deposits in Kazakhstan, reports the press service of the national atomic company "Kazatomprom."
JSC "Uranium One Group," part of the state corporation "Rosatom," has sold 49.979% of its shares in JSC "SP "Zarechnoye" to SNURDC Astana Mining Company Limited, whose ultimate beneficiary is State Nuclear Uranium Resources Development Co., Ltd. Meanwhile, "Kazatomprom's" stake in this joint venture remains unchanged at 49.979%," the company informed.
According to the company, JSC "Uranium One Group" is also expected to sell 30% of its shares in the authorized capital of LLP "SP "Khorasan-U" and 30% of its shares in the authorized capital of LLP "Kyzylkum" to China Uranium Development Company Limited, whose ultimate beneficiary is China General Nuclear Power Corporation, subject to the completion of closing procedures by the parties involved.
"Kazatomprom's" share in these joint ventures will not change, remaining at 50% in LLP "SP "Khorasan-U" and 50% in LLP "Kyzylkum," added "Kazatomprom."
Previously, "Kazatomprom" obtained the right to explore uranium in the "Severny" section of the Budenovskoye deposit.
