Turkestan is witnessing a rise in the number of new sports facilities.

The new modern sports complex will house the A. Nurmakhanov Sports School. This facility will host sporting events as well as training camps for boxing, wrestling, taekwondo, and team sports.

The sports complex consists of three floors and features modern sports and fitness halls, eight changing rooms, showers, a conference room, a cafeteria, a medical assistance room, a waiting area, guest rooms, and offices for coaches and administrative staff.

The construction is being overseen by LLP "Stroy Servis–7". The total area of the complex is 1.8 hectares, while the building itself covers 7,248 square meters. The complex can accommodate up to 1,000 people, and its cost is 3.1 billion tenge.

The regional akim also visited the construction site of the new modern racetrack. The construction of this facility is being carried out in two phases. In the first phase, 2 billion tenge has been allocated from the regional budget, and work has already commenced. The new racetrack will be located on a 99-hectare site. The total cost of the multifunctional sports facility is 13.5 billion tenge. Additionally, areas for other sports aimed at promoting national traditions are also planned.

The President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, places special emphasis on the development of mass sports. Over the past three years, more than 100 sports facilities have been put into operation in the region. Among them are the "Turkestan Arena" stadium, the Ice Palace, the Tennis Center, and the "Olympic Center" sports complex, which have received high praise from the public. Seven tennis courts have been built, and 51 kilometers of bike paths have been laid. The stadium named after Oktay Zharilkapov has also been renovated.
