Record performance at Almaty Airport's cargo terminal.

Almaty International Airport has for the first time surpassed the historic milestone of 100,000 tons of processed cargo! This significant achievement marks an important step in the development of the cargo terminal.

In 2023, the Almaty cargo terminal came very close to reaching the goal of 100,000 tons, finishing the year with a total of 98,905 tons. On November 22, 2024, the terminal exceeded the 100,000-ton mark, and by the end of the year, it is projected to handle around 110,000 tons.

Key projects include the integration of the TAV Airports cargo transportation automation system in 2025, which will reduce processing time by 50%, as well as significant infrastructure upgrades to further enhance operational speed.

Current discussions with customs authorities aim to simplify procedures, which, although complex, can significantly impact efficiency. By investing in new technologies and equipment, the airport seeks to streamline processes and strengthen its position as a key logistics hub in the region.
